Farmer’s wife, Jean Fowler, started Castle Sculptures in 1998. Jean specialises in livestock sculptures, not castles as the name might suggest! Jean’s experience working with livestock over the years has given her a good foundation for her animal modelling work. She has shown the family’s pedigree Blonde d’Aquitaine cattle and knows that to make a good model you need to consult the best breeders and to see good stock. She has therefore travelled extensively visiting herds and flocks to see animals that she has subsequently sculpted.

Confirmation and breed type of an animal are a priority and great care is taken when painting the sculpture to follow markings and colour. You can have any of the models customised to your own animal’s markings which all give you a lasting reminder of your show or sale winner.

Many of the models are limited edition and comes complete with a numbered certificate of authenticity. On each model you will find a small inscribed “Castle” and Jean’s signature. The castle from which the business takes its name is “Greenhalgh Castle”, which stands on the family farm in Garstang, Lancashire. Originally farmed by Jean and her late husband Bill and now by Jean and their two sons Daniel and Simon the Fowler family have been farming at Garstang for the past 30 years.

As you are buying directly from the artist you can speak to her at any time to discuss your exact requirements.

Jean can take payment by UK cheque or via PayPal after calculating postage cost to your location.
